Elderbrook
Elderbrook
A singer, songwriter and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Alexander Kotz, otherwise known as Elderbrook, developed his love for music at an early age, at just 22 years old, Elderbrook has cemented his status as an artist to watch. 2015 saw the release of his debut EP Simmer Down on acclaimed label Black Butter. First track ‘Could’ has been streamed over 3.5 million times on Spotify, whilst his follow up Travel Slow hit #1 on HypeMachine. Kotz also collaborated with respected German production duo Andhim on How Many Times. Not only did the release receive heavy praise from Annie Mac and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, but Mixmag also picked it out as one of their Top Tracks of 2015 after it became one of Ibiza’s most Shazam’d tracks of the summer. Follow-up single ‘Closer’ was also received extremely well, with huge remixes coming from Eats Everything, Siege and George Kwali.

After accompanying trio RÜFÜS DÜ SOL on their European BLOOM Tour this past spring, Elderbrook closed out the year on the road, joining Hayden James of Future Classic on his North American run of dates, as well as European appearances with Gorgon City for their Kingdom tour which included a date at The Warehouse Project. He also played a sold -out headline show at London’s much-hyped new venue Omeara in October this year.

Elderbrook closed 2016 with his official remix of Clean Bandit’s no.1 hit single ‘Rockabye’ ft. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie. Kicking off 2017 with the release of ‘First Time’, he shows no signs of slowing down. The new single secured official remixes from MANT, WiDE AWAKE and Riva Starr.
Kauf
Kauf
With his original productions Kauf has achieved the near impossible feat of making dance music that is also song led and lyrically deep. The rhythms, informed mostly by slowed down disco, support simple, emotive chord progressions with a melancholic bent. Dense layering, his own echo-laden vocals, and a penchant for distorted, imperfect sounds create the dominant motif, where the words sometimes ring out as if emerging from a barely remembered dream.

His debut album ‘Regrowth’ is out later this year, so far we’ve seen 4 singles alongside equally staggering remixes from some of the electronic worlds finest talents. Each single charted on Hype Machine Most Popular with Through The Yard and A Ruin reaching the top spot and resulted in Kauf entering the Top 10 of the HypeM 2016 Zeitgeist Chart.

He self-released his first single in 2011 - "Relocate" b/w "When You're Out," which quickly found its way into the hands of Dan Whitford of Cut Copy who released the "As Much Again" EP on his own Cutters Records. Kauf have previously supported Ceu, Public Service Broadcasting, The Big Pink, Stormzy and many more and are available as a band or for DJ sets.
